Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms#

By accessing or using Bonsave, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the service.

2. Eligibility#

You must be at least 18 years old to use Bonsave. By creating an account, you represent that you are at least 18 years of age and have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms.

3. Description of Service#

Bonsave is a personal finance dashboard, available as a web application at bonsave.app and as an iOS app on the Apple App Store, that connects to your financial accounts via Plaid, tracks your net worth and spending over time, and uses Anthropic's Claude AI to generate daily financial insights. The service includes features such as net worth tracking, spending analysis, budget monitoring, financial projections, and manual asset/liability management.

The service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the service at any time without prior notice.

4. Subscriptions and Billing#

Bonsave offers paid subscription plans (Pro and Ultra) on a monthly auto-renewing basis through the Apple App Store on iOS.

• Payment is charged to your Apple ID at confirmation of purchase.
• Subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing period unless canceled at least 24 hours before the renewal date.
• You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time in your Apple ID subscription settings on your device, or at apps.apple.com/account/subscriptions.
• If a free trial is offered, it converts to a paid subscription at the end of the trial period unless canceled in your Apple ID subscription settings beforehand.
• Refunds for App Store purchases are processed by Apple. To request a refund, visit reportaproblem.apple.com.

If you cancel your subscription, you retain access to paid features through the end of your current billing period. We do not offer partial refunds for the unused portion of a subscription period.

5. Data Accuracy#

Financial data displayed in Bonsave is sourced from your connected financial institutions via Plaid and may be subject to delays, inaccuracies, or interruptions beyond our control. Account balances and transaction data may not reflect the most recent activity at your financial institution.

AI-generated insights are produced by a language model and may contain errors, inaccuracies, or outdated information. These insights are for informational purposes only and should not be relied upon as the sole basis for any financial decision.

Net worth calculations, projections, and spending analyses are estimates based on the data available to Bonsave and may not reflect your complete financial picture.

6. Account Responsibility#

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and for all activity that occurs under your account. You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized access or use. You agree to provide accurate and complete information when creating your account and to keep this information current.

7. Acceptable Use#

You agree not to:

• Use the service for any unlawful purpose
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the service
• Interfere with or disrupt the service or its infrastructure
• Use automated tools to scrape, crawl, or extract data from the service
• Impersonate another person or misrepresent your affiliation
• Use the service to transmit malicious code or harmful content

8. Third-Party Services#

Bonsave integrates with third-party services including Plaid (financial data), Anthropic (AI insights), Clerk (authentication), and others described in our Privacy Policy. Your use of these services is subject to their respective terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for the availability, accuracy, or conduct of any third-party service.

By connecting a financial institution through Plaid, you authorize Plaid to access your financial data on your behalf in accordance with Plaid's terms of service and privacy policy.

9. Intellectual Property#

The Bonsave service, including its design, code, features, and branding, is owned by Bonsave, LLC and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You retain ownership of any data you provide to the service. By using Bonsave, you grant us a limited license to use your data solely to provide and improve the service.

10. Account Termination#

You may delete your account at any time from the Settings page. Account deletion is immediate and permanent, all associated data will be removed from our systems.

If you have an active Bonsave subscription purchased through the Apple App Store, you must cancel it separately in your Apple ID subscription settings. Deleting your Bonsave account does not automatically cancel an App Store subscription or trigger a refund.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time if we reasonably believe you have violated these Terms, without prior notice or liability.

11. Limitation of Liability#

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Bonsave, LLC and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from or related to your use of the service, including but not limited to:

• Financial losses resulting from reliance on information displayed in the app
• Financial losses resulting from actions taken based on AI-generated insights
• Inaccurate, delayed, or incomplete financial data from connected institutions
• Service interruptions, data loss, or unauthorized access to your account
• Actions or omissions of third-party service providers

In no event shall our total liability exceed the amount you have paid to Bonsave in the twelve months preceding the claim, or $100, whichever is greater.

12. Indemnification#

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Bonsave, LLC, its operators, and affiliates from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use of the service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any rights of a third party.

13. Disclaimer of Warranties#

The service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or that any data displayed will be accurate or complete.

14. Apple App Store#

The iOS version of Bonsave is licensed (not sold) to you for use on Apple-branded devices that you own or control, in accordance with the Apple Media Services Terms and the Licensed Application End User License Agreement available at apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula/.

By using the iOS app, you acknowledge and agree that:

• These Terms are between you and Bonsave, LLC, not with Apple Inc. Bonsave, LLC alone is responsible for the iOS app and its content.
• Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support services for the iOS app.
• If the iOS app fails to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple will refund the purchase price for the app to you (if any). To the maximum extent permitted by law, Apple has no other warranty obligation with respect to the iOS app.
• Bonsave, LLC, not Apple, is responsible for addressing any product or warranty claims relating to the iOS app, including product liability, legal compliance, and consumer protection claims.
• Bonsave, LLC, not Apple, is responsible for the investigation, defense, settlement, and discharge of any third-party claim that the iOS app or your use of it infringes that third party's intellectual property rights.
• You will comply with any applicable third-party agreements (such as your wireless carrier's data plan agreement) when using the iOS app.
• Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms with respect to the iOS app, and upon your acceptance of these Terms, Apple has the right (and is deemed to have accepted the right) to enforce these Terms against you as a third-party beneficiary.
• You represent that you are not located in a country subject to a U.S. Government embargo or designated as a "terrorist supporting" country, and that you are not on any U.S. Government list of prohibited or restricted parties.

15. Governing Law#

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Nevada, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Nevada.

16. Changes to Terms#

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you through the app or by email. Your continued use of Bonsave after the effective date of any changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. If you do not agree to the changes, you should stop using the service and delete your account.
